Brentwood is home to a dynamic creative community of freelancers, businesses, networks, venues and organisations, working to make positive community impact through innovative creativity, arts and culture.

Metal presents Brentwood Creative Changemakers, which aims to bring together the individuals at the forefront of the creative community to be supported, nurtured, upskilled and empowered as existing local talent. Brentwood Creative Changemakers looks towards the future, where creativity and culture can continue to thrive through self-sustaining career and business development funded by the UKSPF (UK Shared Prosperity Fund).

About the gathering and this opportunity

This call out offers a unique chance for 6 creative changemakers to come together, connect and cook up exciting ideas for Brentwood over the course of a weeklong paid residency.
The gathering is hosted by Metal and takes place at Chalkwell Hall, Southend-on-Sea, SS0 8NB.
Each selected gathering participant will recieve an artists fee of £1000 for taking part.
Participants will be supported and nurtured through a dynamic week long programme of upskilling workshops, advice sessions, guest speakers and sharing/networking time.
Limited accommodation is available onsite, please register your interest within the application.
