    Please read the instructions and warranty information below before submitting your claim.

    What is covered under the lifetime K-Guard labor & performance warranty?

    • Clogged downspout/gutters
    • Rusting of screws
    • Defects in original workmanship
    • Paint chipping on end caps and miters

    What is NOT covered?

    • Clogs/defects caused by modifications to the gutter system not performed by CFGG (such as underground drains added to downspouts, removal or reinstallation performed by another contractor).
    • Storm damage
    • The exterior of the gutter (dirty gutter or debris on the outside of the gutter)
    • Fading of the original color
    • Damage caused by chemical reactions such as using harsh chemicals to clean the exterior of the gutter or galvanic corrosion caused by copper shingle granules.
    • Damage to other parts of the home caused by failing to notify us of gutter clogs/damage
    • Grading issues caused by house settling over time
    • Rotten fascia board not caused by improper installation
    • Normal wear and tear (scratches, dents, loosening of downspout straps)
    • Neglect of the gutter system by the homeowner. 
    • Defects in other structural components of the home (e.g. roof construction) that impact the performance of the gutters. Example: short shingle overhang.

    Note on Workmanship & Service Fee: Open gutter systems carry only a labor warranty that covers defects in original workmanship.

    Service Visit Fee: If our technician finds that the issue is not covered under warranty, a service visit fee of $195.00 will be incurred. If we can perform repairs to a non-warranty problem, we will provide an estimate for you and, upon approval, the $195 will be waived. To avoid a service fee, please call our office to request an estimate if you believe you have a non-warranty related concern.
