• Georgia CTSA K12 (formerly KL2)/K12- BIRCWH Application Workshop

    This two-session application workshop will be led by Janet Gross, PhD, teaching faculty for the Georgia CTSA MSCR and CPTS programs. She is an expert in federal grant applications in the health sciences and NIH grant writing. The in-person workshop will take place on October 8 and 15 and both sessions will run from 9:30-11:30am. To attend the workshop, please complete the form below and you will receive an Outlook invite. Those who attend both sessions will be eligible for up to 5 hours of individual grant writing consultation with Dr. Gross. Zoom attendance will be an option only for those not on the Emory campus. The workshop will be recorded and posted to the Georgia CTSA website for later viewing.

    The goal of the Georgia CTSA K12 Program is to support and enhance career development for early-career faculty (MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or PharmD) interested in a career that encompasses clinical and translational science (CTS) and clinical and translational research (CTR). The K12 Program supports early-career faculty at the Georgia CTSA partner institutions (Emory University, Morehouse School of Medicine, Georgia Institute of Technology, and University of Georgia) to become independent, established, and ethical clinical and translational science investigators.     The Emory BIRCWH program, short for Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health, is a highly selective career development program for early-career faculty interested in women's health research and/or sex/gender science. The ultimate goal of the BIRCWH program is to train early-career faculty, through a mentored research and career development experience, to become independent investigators who use novel, interdisciplinary approaches to advance the science of women’s health and sex/gender research.
