  • Applicant Information

    SWE SCV Scholarships support those who identify as a woman and pursue an ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate student program in preparation for careers in engineering.
  • Please read the following criteria for eligibility:

    Applicants must either have a permanent address or be attending a school in the following counties:

    South San Mateo County

    South Alameda County

    Santa Clara County

    Santa Cruz County

    San Benito County

    ​If your zip code was not listed in the dropbox, then your permanent address does not meet our eligibility requirement. You may still be eligible for a scholarship if you attend school in one of the areas listed above.   • Please provide the name, relationship, and contact information for your references below. A link to the reference forms will be emailed to reference providers after the scholarship application is submitted. You do not need to upload reference letters to your application, and you do not need to email reference letters to us. Please let your references know that they will receive an email from us with a short form to fill out.

    At least one reference should be from a math, science, or engineering teacher/supervisor.

  • Tip - If you are a freshman undergraduate applicant you may consider asking a teaching assistant, a board member of a club you are active in, or a high school teacher you have kept in touch with to be a reference.

  • Work Experience

    Work experience should include any time that you have spent working for payment or school credit. Self employment, such as babysitting, can be counted if you received payment. Please make sure that your resume shows your work experience too.
  • Essay

    Your essay should be 500 - 1000 words. Essays will be checked for plagiarism.
