Since 2020, A Better Day Than Yesterday has proudly celebrated the return of individuals transitioning home from incarceration and overcoming substance abuse. In 2021, we elevated our celebration to the next level by offering makeovers and hosting a fashion show, showcasing the transformation and resilience of individuals who have worked to change their lives. This year, we need your help in identifying individuals in your community who were formerly incarcerated, individuals overcoming substance abuse, and those who battle with low self-esteem and are now making a positive impact in their lives. Together, we can continue to uplift and honor their journeys of growth and renewal.
Each candidate is carefully assessed to determine the degree to which they fulfill each of the requirements according to the established criteria.
The criteria to participate in A New Me Fashion Show are as follows:
- Recipients must have been previously incarcerated, individuals overcoming substance abuse, and those who battle with low self-esteem.
- Contribute time and effort to enhance the quality of life for themselves, their families, and others.
- Demonstrate a strong passion and vocal advocacy for the advancement of their community.
- Have the flexibility to participate in rehearsals and fittings.
Briefly describe the nominee’s journey and transformation:
Please provide a summary of the nominee’s story, including any challenges they have overcome, personal growth they have achieved, and why you believe they deserve to be featured in the A New Me Fashion Show 6th Annual.
Thank you for your nomination!

We will review all submissions and notify selected nominees by May 5th.
