The Standard Renewal Process
You will need the following items to complete the renewal form and request an interview with your dCOM:
1. Written responses (paragraphs submitted in this form)
2. Update on Course of Study progress
3. Annual Evaluation by S/PPRC

All Licensed Local Pastors (not serving in retirement) are to be pursuing Course of Study. Full Time Local Pastors have eight years to complete their COS, and Part-Time Local Pastors have twelve years. For more information you can visit the Licensed Local Pastors Handbook found at: https://vaumc.org/localpastors/ Those who have completed their Course of Study or M.Div. may report on any continuing education they have participated over the past year.
Course of Study- Please tell us the COS School along with the names of any classes you have taken in the last appointment year. If you have your MDiv already, or have completed COS, please tell us the name of the school and the year of completion below.
If you have not taken Course of Study in the previous year, and are within the window of the requirement please share the circumstances which prevented you from doing so.
