Every January, the Art League creates an exhibition that explores both the visual and literary arts. The Art League will curate a selection of creative fiction/ poetry from writers entries, and then artists will choose a piece as inspiration for their artwork of all media (paintings, photography, mixed media, etc)
Due to limited space, writers will be juried in. Please submit the application below with writing entries to be considered.
Visual and literary works will be on display together for the month of January, 2026. There is no fee to participate, but writers must be an Art League member.
Deadline for entry: Friday, November 14, 2025

TIMELINE FOR SELECTED WRITERS:
Deadline for completed writing: November 14
Artists to select writing to use as inspiration: mid-November
Exhibit Dates: January 2- 31, 2026
Opening Reception: First Friday January 2, 5-7pm
ELIGIBILITY: Writers must be 18 years or older. Submissions must have a maximum 250-300 word count and fit on a single 8.5x11" sheet of paper with font type no smaller than 12pt. Submissions should be creative fiction/ poetry; memoir is also acceptable.
