The Addressing Substance Use in Alaska (ASUA) ECHO is a virtual learning network focused on the establishment of a multi-disciplinary community of practice. This series seeks to establish a comprehensive understanding of current data and best practices in the treatment of substance use disorders, focusing on alcohol, opioid, and stimulant use, including the integration of ASAM 4th edition updates. The ASUA ECHO will explore and implement the most effective treatment strategies for substance use disorders, with a focus on various substances and emerging trends. Be part of a learning community that develops and applies tailored treatment strategies for special populations, including Alaska Natives, older adults, and youth, while understanding and utilizing culturally responsive treatment approaches. Identify and respond to overlooked substance use disorders and foster strong community collaboration to enhance treatment outcomes, support recovery, build stronger families, and facilitate re-entry.
This ECHO series will begin September 19th and run until May 15th, 2024. The 9 sessions will be held at 12pm – 1pm once a month on the third Thursday.
