  • DISCLAIMER:

    Due to fire hazard and safety policies, lanterns will be lit with an LED light candle instead of fire. Due to this, floating of the lanterns will not be doable, but will still be magical nonetheless! Attendees are welcome to bring the lanterns home afterwards. Thank you for your understanding!

    Tangle up in blankets and light up the night with glowing lanterns as we honor and celebrate survivors, and raise funds for vital cancer research and support services for the children at St. Jude's! My name is Anh Ngo, and I am the founder and organizer of my nonprofit organization, WrestleWellness. This September, we're joining forces with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to fight childhood cancer. The festival will be held at North Kansas City High School's football field. Upon arrival, please check in at the gates. If you are buying tickets at the door, please be ready to pay in card, cash, or venmo. It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time to make time to find spots, get food, etc. (snacks and water will be provided, but please bring extra money if you plan on purchasing from the food trucks!). Please keep in mind that the movie will be projected outside, so make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, and bring lawn chairs/blankets to lounge on the turf! The movie will start strictly at 6:15, and lantern distribution will follow around 7:30. During the movie, feel free to participate in our activity stations, such as face/body painting, coloring, and friendship bracelets! Every dollar goes directly to St. Jude, supporting life-saving research and treatment. Together, we can bring hope and healing to children in need. We look forward to seeing you on October 19th! ◡̈
