We will promote your band as part of the competition marketing. Please provide an artist statement, written in the 3rd person, that describes the band. *Use 500 characters or less. Please note that this statement will be used in promotional materials.*
(Optional) Provide a link to video of a rehearsal or performance. Video must include at least 2 songs. Multiple links can be submitted for consideration.
Bands must acknowledge and accept the following to participate:
- If a performer is below the age of 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Every member of the band is expected to be present for the sound check on Saturday, November 2nd, between 12 PM and 2:30 PM.
- Set lists need to be reviewed and approved by the staff and should not contain explicit lyrics.
- Before being accepted into the competition, all Directors are encouraged to meet with the Prairie View A & M Directorial staff. During this meeting, they will be given an overview of the judges and the judging rubric used to score each element of the show.
