scholarship eligibility, amounts and application deadlines.

The intention of the Scholarship Fund is to help Yoga Studies Institute programming be available to all individuals seeking wisdom that can transform not only their lives, but the lives of those around them, regardless of financial or socio-economic situation.

Scholarship Information:

Application deadline is 10 days prior to the start of the course.

The Scholarship team will notify you of results 1 week prior to the start of the course. – You will be notified by email when your online (one word) application has been received.

You will be notified by email when your on line application has been received.

Submitting an application for a scholarship does not guarantee that you will receive one.

Scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the Yoga Studies Institute sponsors.

The scholarship will be applied to the regular price of the course and will not be applicable to the super early bird or early bird prices.

Scholarship Criteria:

The Scholarship Committee considers various factors in addition to financial need when awarding scholarships. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

1) Financial Need:
Applicants will be asked to describe their financial situation and needs.

2) Motivation & Purpose:
Applicants must present a clear personal plan for applying these teachings to serve others. This can be demonstrated through a 1 minute video or other supporting documents.

3) Commitment to Service:
Select one of the current volunteer jobs at YSI [available jobs & descriptions] and complete the required service hours within 6 months.

The total required hours depend on the scholarship amount awarded:

a) 25% scholarship: 10 hours of service

b) 50% scholarship: 15 hours of service

c) 75% scholarship: 20 hours of service

d) 100% scholarship: 30 hours of service

Note: Applicants who have previously received a 100% scholarship are unlikely to be awarded another one.
