Torticollis

Michelle is a Pediatric Occupational Therapist, IBCLC, reflexologist, yoga instructor and lifelong learner.  While working at the current #1 children's hospital, she was the first therapist to recognize torticollis as a symptom of oral dysfunction/restrictions and midline problems.   Michelle developed a theory of torticollis, how to assess and treat for full resolution and how to understand it in the context of breast/bottle feeding and postural integration.

Course Objectives:

1. Participants will identify anatomical and physiological aspects of torticollis presentation and whole body sequelae

2.  Participants will identify aspects of head control and discriminate betweens multiple versions of compensatory strategies

3.  Participants will understand Torticollis in association with Oral Dysfunction and Restrictions in the newborn to precrawling infant

4.  Participants will identify and practice ways to apply tactile input for neuromodulation and sensorimotor strategies specific for Torticollis

5.  Participants will understand Red Pill vs Blue Pill concepts as it relates to Torticollis
