  • NOTICE:  Relatives of the board of directors and the scholarship committee of the New Braunfels MLK Association, Inc. are disqualified from receiving a scholarship from us because of regulations governing non-profits.  Please contact info@nbmlk.com for a list of board and committee members.

    All correspondence and award agreements will be generated from the personal information submitted below. Please be advised that all questions should be submitted to info @nbmlk.com.  Specific questions about how to answer questions or what information you should provide shall not be answered.  Above the signature line are directions on the methods you may use to submit an application.

  • New Braunfels MLK Association, Inc. shall award a one-time non-traditional scholarship in the amount of $2,000.00 at the ceremonies for the 2026 Annual MLK March on January 19, 2026.  Applicant must meet the following requirements as of the date of submission:

    • Resides within the city limits of New Braunfels and/or Comal County, Texas.
    • Is twenty-five (25) years or older in age by the deadline date of midnight, December 31, 2025.
    • Intends to be a full-time or part-time student enrolled in a school or training center to acquire the skills to become more financially independent.
    • Completes an application which includes (i) personal information; (ii) statement and information of financial need; (iii) education, employment experience, community services; (iv) how and why he/she selected the vocation he/she wishes to pursue;
    • Must be accepted to an accredited school or college and provide supporting documentation from the institution.  Scholarship funds will not be released until this information is received.
    • Understands that scholarship funds will be sent to the school to be used by the recipient and that any unused funds will be returned to the New Braunfels MLK Association, Inc.
