Key Club Scholarship Description
1. Scholarship Criteria: The applicant shall be:
- a member of Key Club and attend one of the high schools that is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Clermont,
- of good moral character,
- a citizen of the United States
2. The applicant may submit a completed Key Club Service Hour Form and is still encouraged to participate in a minimum of 75 community service hours, as long as all safety precautions, are followed. Virtual volunteer activities/hours also qualify so long as hours are verified accordingly.
3. The Key Club scholarship may be up to $3,000.00.
4. Application must be filled out by student, and must be complete.
5. This scholarship may be used for either an accredited vocational institution, community college, or a 4-year college or university, located in the continental United States.
6. All information obtained shall be confidential.
7. It should be understood by the applicant that if he/she is awarded a scholarship, that he/she should forward a letter of acceptance from the school of choice (instructions will be provided on Scholarship Night).
8. It shall be understood by the applicant that the monies granted will be forwarded to the applicant’s chosen institution of learning upon proof of registration and checks will be made payable to that institution.
9. The scholarships will be awarded at your designated high school on Scholarship Night.
10. The scholarship must be used within one year of date of award.
11. The scholarship committee will select the winners from all applications submitted to them. The recipient may not receive more than one scholarship awarded by the Kiwanis Club of Clermont.
