Craft Workshop Proposal: SPRING 2026
This form is for those who wish to propose a specific craft workshop as part of LitArts RI's upcoming programming. Proposals are due by Nov 16, 2025. Please submit only one proposal per term (note: if you submit more than one proposal, only the first will be reviewed).
Craft Workshops
are generative skills-building intensives, and must include a deep dive into an aspect of writing. Workshops should reach across multiple mediums and genres and be engaging for all experience levels. Please take a moment to review the rubric
here
. While we are open to all subjects, this term we are particularly interested in seeing workshops that engage:
Fundamentals of Fiction (novels, short stories)
Genre Fiction (romance, fantasy, sci fi, horror, mystery, YA, surprise us!)
Longform/Investigative Journalism
Underrepresented Narratives

We believe in compensating artists for their time and expertise. Our standard is to pay instructors $100/workshop hour. Workshops can only run when we have enough participants to pay our instructor. You also have the option to be compensated in the form of coworking hours at our community workspace.
*
I understand the class will only run with a minimum number of participants.
I'm open to a trade so the class will run with any number of participants--please reach out with the coworking details.
