U14 Representative Player Trials Application
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING BQ TRANSFERS

Please see Basketball Queenslands new Transfer Policy below:

A player wishing to transfer from one Affiliated Association to another for representative competition must have registered and competed within the Association’s Junior Domestic Club Competition and played at least seven (7) games prior to being eligible for a transfer.

A player cannot transfer to a new Association within 30 days of completing a previous transfer.

Who does not need a transfer?

You do not need a transfer if:

You have never played representative basketball previously within Australia; or

You are returning to the same Association that you played Representative basketball for in the most recent season and have not transferred to another Association for Representative basketball.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TRIAL ATTENDANCE

The U14 trial process includes attendance at a minimum of 2 trial sessions. If there is any reason (injury or other) that an athlete is unable to attend a scheduled trial they will need to complete a trial exemption form. Should the athlete be unavailable at a trial due to exemption they will be given the opportunity to attend an alternate trial.

Trialist Eligibility Criteria (SDBAL Registered Player):*

I am a registered member of SDBAL.I am a registered member of an SDBAL club, and have played 7 or more games in the SDBAL domestic competition.I have no outstanding debts with SDBAL.I agree to attend all trials as determined by SDBAL. Players unable to attend 1 or more of the scheduled representative trials are required to complete and lodge a SDBAL trial exemption form.I am available to attend all trainings, games and State Championships.I understand that if I withdraw after being named in a SDBAL representative team and then play representative basketball for another association, I may be ineligible to trial for an SDBAL rep team for a minimum period of 12 months.I understand that there will be no refund of representative fees for players who withdraw after being named in a representative team.I give permission to be photographed, filmed or interviewed for publication as part of Southern Districts Representative Program.

2025 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS INFORMATION

Under 14 Girls: Cairns: 2 - 5 July 2025
Under 14 Boys: Townsville: 7 - 10 July 2025

Following team announcements each team will hold a meeting to cover all logistics for the upcoming 2025 State Championships. During this meeting Head Coaches will discuss booking of flights and accommodation, as well as schedules and expectations. Please hold off from booking any travel arrangements until after this meeting.
I have read and understand that State Championship team bookings will be determined following trials, and agree to hold off from booking travel arrangements until after team meetings have occurred.
