  • HOCKEY VICTORIA RETURNING PARTICIPATION OFFICER - 2025

  • Hockey Victoria is looking for Participation Officers in casual, fixed-term positions from January 1 - December 31st 2025, to help grow Hockey across Victoria.

    We have many programs running throughout the year where you can participate.

  • In order to work in schools all applicants over the age of 18 will be required to have a current Victorian Working with Children's Check (WWCC-E), the E stands for an Employee level check, please ensure you obtain this. Please upload both a front and back photo/scan of your WWCC or VIT card below.

    To apply for a WWCC please click here. Please note we will not accept V (Volunteer) level WWCC checks.

    In order to be an Participation Officer you must hold a WWCC-E or be willing to obtain one. You do not require one in order to complete your application

  • Coaching Experience

  • Coaching Accreditation

  • You do not need to be an accredited coach in order to become a Participation Officer. Being able to interact with children and having a fun, engaging and open personality is the key to being a successful Participation Officer.

    If you do possess a hockey coaching accreditation it is beneficial.

    Please detail your current Hockey Australia (HockeyEd) accreditation and previous coaching experience below.

  • Uniform & Equipment

  • Hockey Victoria will provide Participation Officers with a polo shirt for all programs. Please indicate your preferred Polo shirt size below.

  • Ladies Polo Shirt size chart available here.

    Mens Polo Shirt size chart available here.

  • Hockey Victoria will require Participation Officers to transport equipment kits to programs. Officers will be responsible for maintaining the equipment and monitoring anything that gets lost or damaged.

    Equipment Kits will contain:

    36 sticks
    36 modified hockey balls
    30 cones

  • Please provide an indicative guide to your availability during the 2025 Roadshow period, which will be the timeframe below. There are three (3) primary Roadshow weeks in Term 1 plus two (2) weeks in Term 2.

    As this work is in primary schools, you are expected to be available between 8:45 and 3:30 on the days you select.

    We will also have additional Roadshows outside this period during other times in 2025.

    We understand that your availability may change between now and February, so we only ask for an indicative guide at this stage.
