  • BGA Bootstraps Grant Terms and Conditions

    1. Eligibility The BGA Bootstraps grant is open to BGA alumni only. Applicants must provide proof of their alumni status. Applicants must have a startup or business idea that requires either initial funding or additional capital for growth. The grant is not available to BGA employees, trustees, or their immediate family members. 2. Grant Use The total available grant amount is $10,000, which will be distributed among selected winners. The grant funds must be used solely for business-related purposes, including but not limited to business development, marketing, operational costs, or scaling efforts. Recipients must provide a detailed plan for the use of funds in their application. 3. Application Process Applications must be completed and submitted online by November 15, 2025. The application must include a business plan, budget breakdown, and other relevant details requested by the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. 4. Grant Award Recipients of the BGA Bootstraps grant will be notified in January 2026. Grant decisions will be made by a selection committee from BGA’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Program, and all decisions are final. The amount awarded will be based on the merits of the business proposal and the committee’s evaluation. 5. Responsibilities of Grant Recipients Grant recipients are required to provide a progress report to the Entrepreneurial Leadership Program within 12 months of receiving the grant. The report must detail how the funds were used and the progress of the business. Recipients agree to participate in promotional activities, including being featured in BGA’s communications (e.g., newsletters, website, social media) regarding the BGA Bootstraps program. 6. Nonprofit Status As a nonprofit educational institution, BGA is committed to supporting entrepreneurial efforts that align with its mission to empower alumni and promote innovative leadership. The BGA Bootstraps grant is not a loan. Recipients are not required to repay the funds unless the terms of the grant are violated. 7. Grant Revocation BGA reserves the right to revoke the grant if the recipient fails to comply with the terms and conditions, misuses the funds, or provides false information in their application. 8. Disclaimer BGA assumes no liability for the outcomes of businesses receiving the grant funds. BGA reserves the right to modify or discontinue the BGA Bootstraps grant program at any time. By applying for the BGA Bootstraps grant, applicants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
