Some facts about this job:
All employees must be at least 18 years old by June 2, 2025. 17 year old graduating High School Seniors may also be considered. There is also an exception for certifed Lifeguards (must be at least 16 years old).
This is a full-time, seasonal job. Mandatory training dates are May 27 and May 30. The summer season runs from June 2 to August 2. High Meadows operates three 3-week sessions. Hiring prioirty is given to candidates that can commit to the entire 9 weeks of camp with no more than two days off per session. We may also hire candidates that can commit to one or two full sessions of camp.
All employees work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm. Transportation, meals, and lodging are not provided.
Salaries begin at $600 per 40 hour week for first-year staff members. Pay periods are bi-weekly with one week of processing time.
We serve children ages 5 to 14 in an active, outdoor program. We spend the majority of each day visiting activity areas all across our 40 acre campus, including a barnyard, swimming pool, archery ranges, playing fields, and forest trails. There are no air-conditioned spaces regularly available. Lunch is eaten with campers or is a planning time with other staff members.
