SUMMARY - Please provide up to 350 words on why the Authority’s work is award-worthy.
Please describe how the Authority’s programme/activities meet the following criteria:
RELEVANCE - How did the road authority’s work use the iRAP resources to improve road infrastructure safety in their jurisdiction?
TIMELINE OF THE INVESTMENT - Infrastructure safety programmes/activities must have been planned and completed in the last 5 years.
IMPACT - How did the work make a measurable evidence-based difference in terms of safer road infrastructure (e.g. before and after Star Ratings), improved policy and investment levels, reductions in deaths and serious injuries and/or reduced financial costs due to road crashes).
INNOVATION - Provide details of any innovation in road safety project/programme design, scale, implementation, investment, data management and safety results.
COLLABORATION - Partnerships are an important part of road safety action. Please detail how the authority worked together within the agency and with industry, investment and NGO partners to facilitate and share success.
SUSTAINABILITY - Is the activity part of a long-term commitment to improve road safety. Provide details of ongoing activities and associated policy and financing commitments that allow the approach to be scaled.
TRANSFERABILITY AND TIPS FOR OTHERS - iRAP’s global partnerships with governments, mobility clubs, industry and research groups ensure innovative ideas from one programme partner can be shared with others for the mutual benefit of all. Please provide any advice and tips on transferability and implementation success that can help other agencies replicate your success.
