• UW School of Drama General Audition

    The University of Washington School of Drama is holding a General Audition for the greater Seattle community on September 20th, 2025.  Auditions for current UW students will be held at a later date.

  • This General Audition is intended as an opportunity to introduce yourself to our MFA directing students who will be casting for projects throughout the '25-'26 academic year.

     

    Important Dates:

    Auditions will take place on Saturday September 20 at The Floyd and Delores Jones Playhouse (located at 4045 University Wy NE, Seattle, WA 98105). 

    Callbacks will be held on a per-project basis throughout the Autumn and Winter quarters.  You will be contacted directly to arrange callback date/times.  

    Below are the expected rehearsal and performance date ranges for our '25-'26 productions.

    Devised studio production [title TBD] - directed by Ren Langer

    Looking for performers who are comfortable with moving and devising.

    October 22 - November 23, 2025 [precise schedule TBD]

    The Seagull - by Anton Chekhov | directed by Sebastián Bravo Montenegro

    Chekhov's bittersweet portrait of unrequited love, artistic ambition, and the quiet tragedies of everyday life.

    November 24, 2025 - February 8, 2026

    Bunny - by Hannah Moscovitch | directed by Ren Langer

    A sharp and tender coming-of-age story that follows a young woman’s journey through desire, intimacy, and the search for connection.

    January 27 - March 21, 2026

    Devised studio production [title TBD] - directed by Sebastián Bravo Montenegro

    Looking for people who are comfortable with devising and with movement.  Latinx actors are especially encouraged to audition :) 

    April 20 - June 7, 2026 [precise schedule TBD]

    • This form submission is for anyone from the community that is not a UW student.  There will be seperate auditions for current UW students held at a later date.  Auditionees will only be seen if you have submitted this form.  Plan to arrive 10 mintues prior to your scheduled audition time slot.

      Audition Requirements:

      • Prepare 2 contrasting monologues, no longer than 3 minutes total
