Volunteer Registration

BEFORE YOU REGISTER, PLEASE NOTE: 1. A current background check (within 18 months) is required for ALL volunteers over the age of 18, and you may be required to pay for it. A link to the background check website will be emailed if a current background check is not on file. 2. All volunteers will be required to attend a training at Impact Church on January 26, 7:00-8:30pm. More information will be sent once volunteer registration is completed, but go ahead and put it on your calendar! 3. Volunteers will need to arrive at the Night to Shine event venue at 3:30pm on Friday, February 13, and stay until 9:30 or until your team leader dismisses the team. If you cannot commit to that time frame, please do not register. 4. We may not be able to use everyone who registers to volunteer. All selected volunteers will be emailed by a Night to Shine team leader by January 12. If you do not hear from us, please consider registering with us again next year! We appreciate you be willing to partner with us for this event!

Bathroom Attendant: In this role you will monitor the bathrooms. This includes making sure guests go into their respective bathrooms alone, and if they do not come out in a timely manner, you and their buddy will check on them. Volunteers and buddies will not help guests with undressing, dressing, or toileting; caregivers will be called upon for those tasks.

Buddy: In this role you will accompany and assist an assigned guest throughout the evening (seated dinner, dancing, activities). It is encouraged to dress up - men should wear a suit or shirt and tie, and women should wear semi-formal/formal attire!

Caregiver Respite Room Attendant: In this role, you will be stationed in the respite room to spend time with parents and caregivers who stay at the event to wait for the guests. There will be activities and food provided in this room for them to enjoy and relax.

Flower Team: In this role you will help guests select and pin on their flowers or place them on their wrists.

Karaoke Room Attendant: In this role, you will be stationed in the karaoke room to help with karaoke and other activities for guests and their buddies. Applauding and singing along is expected!

Limo Team: In this role, you will either assist with getting the correct number of people into the limo/party bus and help unload groups OR you will ride the limo/party bus as a “hype man” to make the ride more fun.

Parking Team: In this role you will assist with directing traffic for guests who park and stay at the event and for the drop-off line.

Photographer: In this role you will be responsible for getting photos for the night - red carpet, various stations and rooms, the dance floor, and the crowning ceremony. Experience and professional camera is required.

Red Carpet Paparazzi Team: In this role you will stand on the sides of the red carpet to cheer as guests make their way into the event. Once the red carpet entrance is finished, individuals under 18 will be dismissed and other volunteers will be used as floaters. Lots of energy is required for this role!

Registration Team: In this role you will sign in and distribute materials to volunteers and guests as they arrive for the night. You will also assist with dismissal at the end of the event. During the in between time, you can mingle with guests.

Safety Team: In this role you will guard all entrances/exits and be available as needed. You will not carry weapons in this role.

Set-Up Team: In this role you will arrive at the event space early to help set-up rooms and decorate. You will need to be able to lift light objects. The estimated time frame will be February 13, 2026 at 10:00-2:00 pm.

Shoeshine Team: In this role you will be at a shoeshine station to help guests feel pampered and ready for the dance floor.

Night to Shine Liability Release for Volunteers
I HEREBY ASSUME ALL OF THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN ANY/ALL ACTIVITIES
associated with the “NIGHT TO SHINE” EVENT hosted by Impact Community Church of York County on February 13, 2026, at Rock Hill Sports and Event Center of York County, Knowledge Perk LLC and Knowledge Perk Holdings, LLC of York County and ACL Headquarters of York County, including by way of example and not limitation, any risks that may arise from negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective equipment or property owned, maintained, or controlled by them, or because of their possible
liability without fault. I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability will be used by the event holders, sponsors, and organizers of the activity in which I may participate and that it will govern my actions and responsibilities at said activity. In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this activity, I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs,
next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

(A) I WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE from any and all liability, including but not
limited to, liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES OR PERSONS: The Tim Tebow Foundation and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and Impact Community Church of York County, Rock Hill Sports and Event Center of York County, Knowledge Perk LLC and Knowledge Perk Holdings, LLC of York County, ACL Headquarters of York County, the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers;

(B) INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS AND PROMISE NOT TO SUE the entities or persons mentioned in this paragraph from any and all liabilities or claims made as a result of participation in this activity, whether caused by the negligence of release or otherwise. I acknowledge that Impact Community Church of York County, Rock Hill Sports and Event Center of York County, Knowledge Perk LLC and Knowledge Perk Holdings, LLC of York County, ACL Headquarters of York County, and the Tim Tebow Foundation and their directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, and agents are NOT responsible for the errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of any party or entity conducting a specific activity on their behalf. I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity. The Accident Waiver and Release of Liability shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law.
