Information about the Modern Worship Team
Being on the Worship Team is a paid position. To be considered for the Worship Team, an interview and an audition is required with the Worship Pastor. The interview process involves conversation about your background and your understanding of worship. The audition process involves learning and performing specific pieces of music for the purpose of evaluating musical skill. After the form is submitted, the worship pastor will follow up about music preparation and scheduling an interview and an audition.
Worship Team Expectations:
Our purpose is to lead our congregation in worshipping Jesus. To be effective, worship team members must have their own personal relationship with Jesus.
Instrumentalists are expected to be able to learn and perform all scheduled worship music with excellence.
Vocalists are expected to be able to learn and handle lead and harmony vocals with excellence as directed by the Worship Pastor.
Scheduling is done through Planning Center which permits musicians to accept or decline potential dates for leading worship.
When scheduled for a Sunday morning, worship team members are expected to have their music prepared in advance and to attend a mandatory Thursday evening rehearsal with other scheduled worship team members.
Sunday morning duties include a second rehearsal at 8:30am and worship services at 9:45am and 11:10am. .
