Statement of Appropriate Code of Conduct
The Montana Music Educators Association holds professional conferences and meetings to enable its members to receive continuing education and build professional networks. MMEA is committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all conference participants. All participants, including, but not limited to, attendees, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, MMEA board members, and all others are expected to foster an environment that feels safe for all. This Policy applies to all MMEA meeting-related events, including those sponsored by organizations other than MMEA but held in conjunction with MMEA events, on public or private platforms.
By signing this agreement, you agree to conduct yourself in a way that promotes community and safety amongst all people regardless of age, gender, or race. If any of your behaviors are deemed questionable or offensive by any participant, this may be brought to the attention of the MMEA board and appropriate actions will be taken.
The MMEA board reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the conference or meeting without warning or refund and/or to prohibit attendance at any future conference or meeting.
