Checking event availability does not guarantee a volunteer spot. To qualify for the Outdoor Committee, you must volunteer for a minimum of three event or camp sessions. If you volunteer for a session where a family member is present, you will not be placed with their unit. A member of the Program team will reach out based on your selections.

Counselor: Work to lead a unit of campers from place to place, keep to a schedule, and facilitate activities, follow guidelines to prioritize the health and safety of campers and self at all times.
Unit Leader: Lead a team of counselors and campers from place to place, keep to a schedule, submit cookout and other paperwork, and facilitate activities, follow guidelines to prioritize the health and safety of campers and self at all times.
Facilitator: Manage a station depending on your strengths and skillsets, anything from archery to crafts to fire building and outdoor cooking, follow guidelines to prioritize the health and safety of campers and self at all times.
Kitchen Staff: Feed 3 meals a day to 50+ individuals, manage a food budget/food ordering, maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, and assist with pack out and prep. *Preferred: Experience in the food industry/ cooking on a large scale.*
Health Supervisor: Maintain the health and safety of all persons on camp property, dispense prescription and OTC medications to all persons on camp as necessary, be aware of Emergency Action Plans and ready to assist when needed.*Required: RN or CNA certification or relevant experience in the medical field*
CIT Manager: Focus on the facilitation of the Counselor in Training Programming, focus on leadership trainings/ activities and can successfully lead a resume/ interview workshop. * Required: Experience in leadership programs or Camp - Attend entire CIT session from June 8th-15th*

Mandatory Trainings
All staff and volunteers are required to attend mandatory training from May 29th to May 31st. During this training, you will learn everything you need to know to provide an exceptional experience for our campers. Additionally, there will be several check-ins throughout the year to ensure ongoing support and communication. Further details about these check-ins will be provided once your application has been processed.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the GSGST program. Please be aware that the submission of this application does not guarantee selection for the volunteer role. The GSGST program team will carefully review all applications and will contact you with updates within 5 business days. If you are offered a position, you will be required to review and adhere to the GSGST Adult Guidlines. These guidelines outline important protocols and practices to ensure the safety and well-being of children while on GSGST property or at GSGST events. Our primary focus is to provide an educational and enjoyable experience for our campers, with health and safety being our utmost priority.
