  • Sign Up for Full Moon Social Ride!

Join ABOB Western Mass, Friends of Northampton Trails, and Full Moon Bike Rides for a fun and spooky full moon ride the evening of October 17th - 6 PM at Pulaski Park!
  • THE BIG IDEA:

Bring your costumes, lights, and bells/noisemakers!  We will meet at Pulaski Park in Northampton at 6 PM on Thursday, October 17th.  We will ride 5 miles through Northampton, dinging our cute bike bells and celebrating the full moon!  You are welcomed to wear a costume, it is Halloween season after all!!

Everyone is welcome to join us- riders on adaptive cycles, tricycles, e-bikes, families, cargo bikes, and more! This ride was designed with you in mind!

Since this is a night ride, LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED!  Our friends at Massbike will be there to pass out some lights if you don't have any or forget yours :)

FNT will have a couple of prizes available for their favorite costumes, so don't be afraid to go ALL OUT!!!!

    MEET UP LOCATION:

Pulaski Park in Northampton, right by the rail trail and bus stops.  There is parking for cars in the Roundhouse Lot!

    SCHEDULE:

Pre-ride talk starts at 6 PM (please be there and ready to roll by 6!)
    Ride out at 6:15 PM
Ride will finish around 7-7:15 PM

(this is a rough idea of the schedule, things may be slightly different depending on the pace of the group!)

    ROUTE:

Click here to see the route.

The ride is 4.5 miles through Northampton on paved roads.  There are 85 feet of climbing on the route.  There are a couple of hills, but the route is flat for the most part.  We will ride briefly on some busier streets, but are mostly on quiet roads.

In the middle of the ride we will go towards the outskirts of town to have (hopefully) a nice view of the moon!

We will ride at an average pace of 5-7 mph, and won't leave anyone behind.

    ACCESSIBILITY:

All are welcome to join us!  We will stop a few times for breaks.  This event will be fully outside, and masks are not required, but are welcome.  We will have volunteers available to help share any information.  If you have any specific accessibility needs, please reach out!

    KIDS:

These rides are open to anyone!  Bring yourself, your family, your friends.  If you are bringing small children, we ask that they tag along in a child seat or trailer if they aren't able to handle the distance by themselves.

    WHICH WHEELS TO BRING?

The route is all on paved roads, so any bike or trike you have will do great!  It just needs to be in good condition and ready to ride!

HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!  LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED!
