Prior to finalizing your interest application, please take the time to carefully review the following statement.

Eligibility is an important part of alumni associations, as it’s part of the key to fair and inclusive representation within the association. Eligibility, at its most simple, typically requires candidates and voters to be paid and registered members of the alumni. The Carol W. Hayes High School Alumni Association Incorporated (CWHHSAA) adheres to Article 10 Elections, Section A: Timing of our bylaws, which mandates the conduction of elections for the Association Directors and Officers every other year (biennially). Only active members of the Association are eligible to stand for election. To qualify for a position as an officer or board member, an individual must have a minimum of one year (12 consecutive months) of membership. If you are interested in assuming the role of an officer or board member for the CWHHSAA for the 2025-2027 tenure, we kindly request that you verify your compliance with the qualifications outline in our bylaws and complete and submit the provided candidate interest form. All information that you submit will be kept confidential. Serving on the Carol W. Hayes High School Alumni Association (CWHHSAA) Executive Board is an esteemed position that the association and its members highly value. However, this role also comes with certain expectations. Members are expected to attend the Board's meetings and actively participate in one of the three committees of the Board.

Moreover, attendance and support at some alumni events are anticipated, as well as participation in the CWHHSAA Fundraising events to the best of each member's ability. For more information about the structure, roles, responsibilities, and duties of the Alumni Association executive team, please visit the association's website paid members only session. The Nominating Committee of the alumni association will thoroughlyreview all nominations and contact candidates regarding their eligibility for the applied position.
