  • If you’re registered for the 2026 Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K and did not purchase “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) Protection, but need to change your race distance or cannot participate, your options are listed below.

    Before selecting an option and submitting this form, please review these important details:

    • CFAR cannot be added after registration.
    • Deferrals are not available.
    • Transfer requests must be submitted before the posted deadlines.
    • Requests cannot be processed for events that have already taken place.
    • Merchandise previously purchases are non-refundable.

  • TRANSFER TO A DIFFERENT DISTANCE

    Participants may transfer to a different distance hosted by the Ascension Seton Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5K. Not available after 3:00 PM on the Saturday before event day. Once a transfer request has been submitted, it cannot be reversed.

    TRANSFER TO ANOTHER PERSON
    Participants may transfer their registration to another participant of their choosing for a fee based on the distance. Once a transfer request has been submitted, it cannot be reversed.

    How it works: Once the request is approved, the owner of the bib will receive an email with a customized registration link that includes the transfer fee that they will forward to the person they are transferring the bib to. The recipient of the new link will fill out the new registration form and pay the transfer fee.

    Important Notes:

    • All transfers must be processed through EventDog.com.
    • Unauthorized bib exchanges will result in disqualification, removal from race results, and potential bans from future events.
    • Transaction fees cannot be refunded. 
    • Shirt size is not guaranteed for transferred registrations.
    • This transfer option is not available after February 8. 

     

    TRANSFER TO THE AUSTIN INTERNATIONAL HALF - January 18, 2026
    Participants may transfer to the Austin International Half which takes place on Sunday, January 18, 2026. Option not available after 3:00 PM on Saturday, the day before event day. Once a transfer request has been submitted, it cannot be reversed.

    All registration transfers must be approved and processed through High Five Events and The Austin Marathon. Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person through a non-approved process will have said race entry/bib revoked, be disqualified, be removed from the race without a refund, and will be prohibited from participating in any future events owned or produced by High Five Events. Any Persons trying to participate in the event using another participant’s race entry/bib as part of a non-approved transfer will be disqualified, be removed from the race without a refund, and will be prohibited from participating in any future events owned or produced by High Five Events.
