Freddie Scholarship for LGBTQIA+ Students (USA) Logo
  • Freddie Scholarship for LGBTQIA+ Students

$1,000 scholarships available for LGBTQIA+ students across seven US states.
  • Freddie is committed to supporting LGBTQIA+ students pursuing their post-secondary education. Besides facing stigma due to identity, expression, and sexuality, queer and trans communities are at higher risk of poverty, homelessness, and violence. Through all of this,  LGBTQIA+ students are resilient - we want to celebrate that!

Freddie wants to make your student journey easier so that you can focus on giving your education your best.‍‍ In each state Freddie works in, we’re lucky to partner with these incredible organizations: LGBTQ Life Center (Virginia), EDGE (New Jersey), EPIC Health (Florida), Resource Center (Texas), Nashville Cares (Tennessee), Ripple PHX (Arizona), and The Wall las Memorias (California).

Freddie is working directly with these organizations to offer our scholarship. Click 'next' for more information on eligibility and application requirements.

Applicants must be registered full-time undergraduate students in Virginia, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Arizona, or California.

e strongly encourage applications from students who are Black, Indigenous, and other people of color; members of Disabled communities; HIV-positive people; and/or trans or non-binary. These groups often face significant barriers to accessing education, and our goal is to help ensure that students from all backgrounds have equitable opportunities.

Students of any immigration or visa status are welcome to apply. However, please note that we do not assess applicants' enrollment eligibility with their educational institutions. If it is later determined that a recipient is unable to maintain enrollment due to their immigration or visa status, we reserve the right to revoke the scholarship award.
