  • The Entrepreneur Assessment

This assessment is great for anyone who's thinking about starting something from scratch, whether that's a new church, nonprofit, or social enterprise. It only takes 5-10 minutes and when you're done, we will provide custom recommendations that will help you become the best entrepreneur you can be.
  • Instructions for Taking the Assessment

    How to Approach the Assessment:

Be Honest: There are no right or wrong answers. The purpose is to capture your genuine thoughts and feelings.

Go with Your Gut: Try not to overthink your responses. Your initial reaction is usually the most accurate.

Stay Focused: Each statement will require your attention, so make sure you are in a distraction-free environment.

Take Your Time: While we encourage you to answer intuitively, feel free to take a moment to consider your response if necessary. However, try to keep a steady pace.

Consistency: Ensure your responses reflect how you currently feel rather than how you think you should feel. Be consistent with your current mindset and experiences.

Remember, your answers will help give valuable insights, so answer as authentically as possible!

    Part I & II

In the first part, we will ask questions that help us scale the assessment to the unique needs, thus giving you a final score relative to the endeavor you hope to take on. Answer these with your specific endeavor in mind. In Part 1, read the scales carefully, as they change for each statement and can impact your overall score significantly.

In the second part of the assessment, there will be 8 pairs of statements. Select the statement that best describes you in each pair. Some choices may be difficult, but choose the one that feels most accurate. Remember, there are no “right” or “wrong” answers—just pick the option that resonates more.

Once you're ready, proceed to the next page.

  • Part III

In the next part of the assessment, you will be asked to respond to a series of similar statements, but this time, instead of chosoing between them you will rate each statement by your level of agreement on a scale from 1 to 5, where:

    1 means you strongly disagree
    5 means you strongly agree

Remember be honest and go with your gut.

Once you're ready, proceed to the next page.

  • Greetings  ,

Thanks for taking time to complete this assessment. We built this to provide a way for people like you to have a better understanding of how they might handle starting something a new {whichCategory}.

We provide two scores, measured independently of each other.

    Your Overall Score
If you're interested in seeing your overall score, please get in touch with Joe Graves at joe@cityviewcolumbus.org.

    Your Individual Scores.

This is measured independently from the overall score. Whereas the overall measures against a sliding scale and assessment averages, the individual scores are measured against yourself and thus provide insight into areas you might excel. For this part of the assessment, we measure across four spectrums: strategy, motivation, inspiration, and process. In each of these categories, there are two common responses. The ability to understand and implement both responses, or both sides of the spectrum, is essential to being an effective entrepreneur. We explain this in greater depth below.

    Sincerely,
    Joe Graves
