Making the Dingle Food Festival Zero Waste 2024

The volunteer role is to help the public choose the right bin for their waste (training will be given) and/or attending to the rinse station and directing the public on its use.

The Food Festival will be aiming for Zero-Waste-to-landfill festival this year. There will be no disposable tableware allowed at the festival not even compostables, and food stalls and taste trail venues will have to serve on customers' tableware. Festival goers will either have to bring their own bowl/plate, buy a bowl with cutlery set (€5) or rent a container (for €2 with a €5 deposit).
