Restrictions
• Previous permanent makeup/tattoo must have an in-person consultation in order to ensure that we can correct/work on top of the previous work. Color correction is an additional cost.
• Anticoagulant, Thyroid, and other medications may cause pigment to fade quicker.
• Retinol/Retin-A must be discontinued 7 days prior to procedure (it will cause thinning of the skin and may bleed more).
• Injectables around eyes or forehead (Botox, Dysport, etc.) must be almost completely worn off prior to any eyebrow procedure. Fillers for lips (Radiesse, JuvaDerm, Voluma, etc.) must be healed (about 4 weeks) or can be done 6 weeks after your follow up.
• Chemical peels/laser treatments may not be done within 60 days before or after procedure.
• Sunburned or Suntanned skin is damaged skin and therefore will cause excessive bleeding. We cannot work on sunburned or suntanned skin.
• You cannot expose the area to the sun for 30 days before or after procedure.
• Do not schedule this procedure within one week prior to a water vacation.
• Stay out of steam rooms, saunas, hot yoga, swimming pool, etc. for 1 week following procedure.
• Avoid working out or sweating for 1 week post procedure (sweat will prevent pigment from healing into the skin).
• Avoid alcohol, caffeine, or any other blood thinner 1 day before procedure to minimize any oozing, bleeding or swelling.
• Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, fish oil or vitamin E 3 days prior to procedure unless medically necessary.
All Permanent Cosmetics procedures are multi-session processes. An initial application is incomplete until after a follow-up appointment, which must be scheduled approximately 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. Follow-up appointments are $125 and must be performed within 6-8 weeks of the initial application (this excludes tattoo removal and corrective work which are priced per procedure). If scheduled after 8 weeks, that appointment will be charged as an Annual Touch Up. ($350).
While your skin heals, be prepared for the color intensity of your procedure to be significantly larger, sharper, or darker than what is expected for the final outcome. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and new skin regrows to take its place.
Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may swell slightly or redden, some clients feel it best not to make social plans for a day or two following any procedure. Wear your normal makeup and bring your lip or brow pencils with you the day of the procedure.
Please be aware that in order to ensure we choose the right color pigment, we may need to remove any foundation or concealer you are wearing to see the true undertone of your skin. You may choose to bring your makeup to touchup after your procedure for the “after” pictures.
In order to provide all of our clients with great service and the best experience, our policies are as follows:
CLIENT-ONLY IN THE PROCEDURE ROOM: Though a friend or family may accompany you to your appointment, we have learned it is best that they do not sit-in on your procedure. It is important the artist is able to have their full focus on you, the client. Friends and family tend to be a distraction for both the client and artist.
CHILDREN, TODDLERS AND BABIES: Though we love children, toddlers and babies, we must kindly ask that you do not bring them with you to your appointment. Unfortunately, they are a distraction to the artist, as well as the other guests having services at Array Esthetics & PMU LLC. Thank you for your understanding.
OUR POLICIES: Permanent cosmetics is a time-intensive service. In booking your appointment, we are reserving a designated amount of time specifically for you. We require a credit card on file and a $100 deposit in order to reserve this time for your appointment. If you need to cancel for any reason, we require that you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the start of your appointment time so that we may be able to offer this time to another client. If your appointment is cancelled/rescheduled with less than 48 hours notice you will be charged up to 100% of the price of your scheduled service. If you no-show, you will be charged 100% of the price of your scheduled service. We do not offer monetary refunds on services rendered. Any adjustments/corrections can be made during the Follow-Up appointment. Fees may apply.
FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS: There is a $125 charge for the follow-up appointment to a new/initial procedure when it is done within 8 weeks of the initial procedure. However, in the case of a cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice or a no-show, the follow-up is considered forfeited and any following appointments will be charged as an Annual Touch Up/Brow Maintenance.
TARDINESS: Please plan to arrive at our studio 5-10 minutes prior to the start of your appointment. We want to make sure you have time to make yourself comfortable before the start of your appointment. In the event that a client is more than 30 minutes late, the procedure may be cancelled, and the full service fee will still apply, as we are not able to sell this time to another client.
RIGHT TO REFUSE TREATMENT: Though it is extremely rare, we reserve the right to refuse treatment for the following reasons:
- Undisclosed skin condition (including sunburn/suntan)
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Any behavior which, in the opinion of the artist , might compromise the artist’s or ability to work safely and comfortably toward the desired results, or might disrupt other clients.
Pre-Procedure Instructions
Eyebrows:
Avoid tweezing, waxing, electrolysis, and coloring your brows for two weeks prior to the procedure. This will allow your artist the most flexibility to achieve optimal results.
Note - Eyebrow procedures can not be performed if there is a cut, lesion, or pimple of any kind in the brow area.
Please be aware that we will remove your foundation and concealer to determine your true undertones. This is vital for us to choose the right color.
We offer several different options of eyebrow pigmentation lasting from several months to several years. We offer Nano (hair strokes), Combo (hair strokes with shading), and Powder (fully shaded brows). Your artist will discuss the best options for you depending on your skin type, lifestyle, desired results and desired maintenance.
Lips:
IMPORTANT - If you have any history of cold sores, fever blisters, or herpes simplex, you must contact your physician to obtain and take the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks for at least 7 days before and after the procedure. Many physicians prescribe Valtrex. Follow your physician’s instructions.
Note - Lip procedure can not be performed if you have a cut or lesion of any kind on the lip area.
Please care for your lips - keep them exfoliated and hydrated one week prior to your appointment. This will greatly affect the way the pigment is implanted into the skin.
Permanent cosmetics is a process. Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. It is not uncommon to lose up to 50% of the color after the first session.
Please be aware that having a procedure done while on your menstrual cycle can make you hypersensitive at the procedure site.
Alcohol, Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, blood thinners, and caffeine 24 hours prior to your procedure will affect your retention and sensitivity. Please refrain from taking these 24 hours before your procedure with Dr. approval.
You will be given detailed after-care instructions at the time of your procedure. Please call or email us with any other question you may have.
