During October 2024, GoodForUs.Org, a nonprofit collaboration, will pilot tools for a mobility behavior campaign which we hope to roll out nationally next year. OktoberTest will recruit 250 people to track their car use, transit, walking, running and biking to learn how to help each other impact health, climate and community. We hope to provide data and inspiration to our political champions to show that many people are serious about addressing the climate and health crisis and that we are willing to do our part.
What we hope to learn:
- How some households are already thriving with less driving and more active mobility.
- Ways to help each other change daily routines and overcome challenges.
- Show decision-makers the potential of voluntary actions and what’s needed to make these efforts more effective.
All this in an engaging process that will take just a few minutes a day.
