      Job Summary

We are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing individuals who are passionate about learning to provide stimulating STEM educational experiences for children aged 5-14 years old.

The majority of work assigned will be within the successful candidate’s region but on occasion our candidates should be willing to travel and stay overnight for workshops more than a couple of hours away.

Staff will need their own car/van - all fuel, travel and meal expenses will be covered by Hyett Education. We may provide a company vehicle in certain circumstances. Our main office is in WV10 and the candidate will be expected to visit the main office for in-person training at least once a term.

For a full-time role typical week would consist of four days in school and one day of preparation/planning/professional development (working from home or in the main office).

Whilst in training, the successful candidate will predominantly:

      • Support more experienced members of staff in the preparation and delivery of various STEM workshops
      • Support the process of developing new resources or workshop ideas.
      • Undergo various training courses linked to providing services in schools, such as Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding Training

A typical day would be 7.45am-3.30pm onsite with workshop hours between 9am-3.15pm with children. We expect staff to arrive onsite at 7.45am to setup, and typical pack down is 20-30 mins. There may be up to 2 hours travel each way, or the need to stay overnight near the workshop location.

      Who is our ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate will be responsible and reliable, punctual, presentable, and personable. They will be able to build positive relationships with children, school staff and Hyett Education colleagues.

They will be able to offer exemplary customer service, and have the drive to constantly reflect upon and improve the service they are delivering. Leading candidates must be able to work well with children.

Subject knowledge in Science, Computing, Engineering and Mathematics is desired but not essential. We will put in place a training programme for any candidates that need support with this content in relation to the workshops they will be delivering.

Our current team consists of former teachers, teaching assistants and stage performers and we welcome new skills and talents.

Equipment will be provided where necessary and the successful candidate will report directly into our CEO, Antony Hyett.

We are looking for the successful candidate to start in post in January 2026.
