  • Appointment Time: Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may result in rescheduling or a shortened grooming session.

Vaccinations: All pets must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations. You will be required by county law to provide such proof if a bite occurs and I have to seek medical attention. If you are unable to provide proof of current rabies vaccination law enforcement will most likely have to quarantine your pet for rabies observation at your

Please inform me of any medical conditions, allergies, or behavioral issues your pet may have. I reserve the right to refuse service if I believe it is unsafe for your pet or myself. Aggressive or unmanageable pets may require special handling, and an additional fee may apply. If at any time during the grooming session your pet becomes overly aggressive or I feel completing the groom will in any way cause harm to myself or your pet I will stop the groom and call you for immediate pickup "as-is". Please note payment for their scheduled appointment will be due at pickup.

Matting: Pets with excessive matting may require additional time and care. There may be an extra charge for dematting services. If the matting is severe, shaving may be necessary for the pet's comfort and safety.

Flea and Tick Policy: Pets with fleas or ticks will be treated at the owner's expense. I take steps to ensure my facility remains pest- free.

Emergency Care: In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact you immediately. If we cannot reach you, we will seek veterinary care at your expense.

Cancellations and Rescheduling: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Failure to cancel within this timeframe will result in a cancellation fee of half of your scheduled appointment total. Rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours before the appointment. I will do my best to accommodate your new preferred time however my schedule is often booked out several months so if I'm unable to get another client to switch appointments with you, it might be your next scheduled appointment time before I'm able to get your pet back in.

Clients who do not show up for their appointment without prior notice will be charged a no-show fee equal to half of your scheduled appointment total. This fee must be paid within 24hours of your missed appointment. Failure to do so will result in all future appointments being canceled. Repeated no-shows may result in the requirement of a prepayment for future appointments or at my discretion all future apointments may be cancelled.

I understand and agree to the grooming and cancellation policies provided by Heartland Grooming by Michele. I confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge.

  • We accept several payment methods for your convenience. Payment is required at or prior to pickup! Payment Methods Accepted: Cash

Cash App Facebook Pay I'm happy to send an online invoice for you to make payment online if you prefer not paying in the shop at pickup. This may work best for bests that get overly excited at pickup or if you need to send a friend or family member in to pickup. However this needs to be done and paid for prior to pickup. Effective immediately I will no longer be releasing pets til payment has been received.

I will text/call you when your pet is ready for pickup. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE PRIOR TO HEARING FROM ME! Pets often get excited when they see you which makes completing their groom impossible to complete if interrupted. Pets should be picked up promptly after being notified that grooming is complete. An additional fee may apply for late pickups after hours.

  • MATTING PROCEDURES

  • MATTING RELEASE AND INFORMATION

At Heartland Grooming, I'm dedicated to providing the best care for your pet. Matting can be uncomfortable and potentially harmful, and it requires special attention during the grooming process. To ensure the well-being of your pet and a clear understanding of the grooming procedures, please review and acknowledge the following information regarding matting. Matting can be uncomfortable and harmful to your pet, and it may require special handling during the grooming process. By signing below, you acknowledge and accept the following: Trimming and Shaving: Severely matted fur may need to be trimmed or shaved to prevent pain and skin irritation. This process can change the appearance of your pet's coat significantly.

Changes in Appearance: Removing mats may result in shorter hair or uneven patches. It may take time for your pet's coat to grow back to its normal length and texture.

The process of dematting can cause skin irritation, redness, or minor cuts. While we take every precaution to minimize these risks, they are sometimes unavoidable.

Ongoing Maintenance: Regular grooming and brushing at home are essential to prevent future matting. We recommend scheduling regular grooming appointments and following a consistent home grooming routine.

Tips for Preventing Matting: Brush Regularly: Brush your pet's coat frequently, especially in areas prone to matting, such as behind the ears, under the legs, and around the collar. Use Appropriate Tools: Use the correct grooming tools for your pet's coat type, such as a slicker brush, comb, or mat splitter. Regular Grooming Appointments: Schedule regular grooming appointments to keep your pet's coat healthy and mat-free. Check for Tangles: Regularly check for and gently remove small tangles before they turn into larger mats.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this matting release. I understand the risks associated with the dematting process and accept responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of my pet's coat.
