Being a chaperone for Travel Sparq Inc. requires more of a person than being a guardian on some class-trip style beach vacation. Chaperones are leaders and experience providers of our Costa Rica: Culture and Conservation program. Thus, we have high expectations of our chaperones- we are building a program that changes students' lives. We couldn't take this responsibility more seriously. As a chaperone, you will meet students who test, trust, and teach you. So, we're looking for the best people to help elevate students' experiences with us and make them feel safe and secure. If you fit that role, please apply! If you have any questions while filling out the application, please email travelsparq@travelsparq.org.
Disclaimer: This isn’t a paid position, and the time is voluntary in nature. You will be asked to pay for some of the costs for your portion of the trip. Costs include Pre/Post-Trip class meals, meals/snacks while in the airport, your passport, your luggage, your souvenirs while in Costa Rica, and any fees/fines you may acquire while abroad (this isn’t likely). You will be asked to help in the selection process/interviewing of student applicants. You are required to attend all scheduled Pre/Post-Trip classes. You will be asked to assist in fundraising for the trip. This includes fundraising events, developing possible fundraising ideas, and chaperoning students who will be assisting with their fundraising portion. You will be required to attend training before the trip. Your application will not be considered if you cannot meet these requirements.
Once we receive your application, we will review it and reach out to you about the next steps in the selection process.
