Abhishek Puja Terms & Conditions
Puja Timings & Attendance -
Goddess Abhishek Puja Batches are conducted for devotees every day at 5:30, 7:30 and 10:30 AM. If you are going to participate in the puja in person, you can book the puja seva by selecting your convenient day and the above mentioned puja batch.
The puja ritual lasts for at least an hour from the start.
Abhishek puja rituals are performed for devotees in the Puja mandap in front of the goddess in the temple premises. The rituals are performed on the festive idol of the goddess and on the silver shree charan, No Darshan or puja rituals are allowed in the main sanctum sanctorum by devotee.
The chanting of the Puja will take place in a group sitting together, but the rituals will be performed individually by each devotee.
Each Pooja ritual lasts for at least one hour.
You must be present at the Abhishek Mandap at least 20 minutes before your scheduled Pooja batch.
Do not arrive earlier than 30 minutes before puja time and do not late than 15 minutes, or you may miss a part of the ritual.
Who Can Perform Abhishek Pooja?
Only male devotees can sit for the Abhishek Pooja. They must wear a Sovale/Dhoti.
You can bring your own dhoti. If not, a dhoti will be provided for the Pooja for a charge of ₹100/-, which must be returned afterwards.
As per tradition, husband-wife couples cannot perform Abhishek Pooja together. The male will sit for the puja, and the female can offer offerings during a quick darshan.
If a female devotee wishes to perform Abhishek Pooja, Guruji will complete the rituals on her behalf after taking a Sankalp from her.
If more than one person will sit, the Pooja should be booked accordingly.
There is a separate viewing arrangement at the Pooja Mandap for family members to watch the Abhishek Puja ritual.
Darshan Information -
Devotees are not allowed to perform darshan of the idol in the main sanctum sanctorum or perform abhishek puja on the main idol at any time.
Quick darshan is permitted only during your Pooja timing batch. If you miss this, you cannot insist on it at other times.
Before or after the puja, as per Guruji's guidance, you will be sent to the sanctum sanctorum for immediate darshan through the puja booking system. This is only complementry service to avoid long darshan queue.
Pl. Note - Devi Darshan will be done from a certain distance, no other special darshan arrangements are included.
During this Gabhara Darshan, women can offer special items like aher, saree-oti / daan-dakshina, jewellery, food, or other items to the Goddess by hand.
If you plan to offer special items, please inform Guruji in advance for arrangements and guidance.
Based on your Abhishek Pooja booking, only the individuals who booked the Pooja will have access to immediate Devi Darshan. Other family members will take Darshan from the normal queue.
If all family members wish for immediate darshan together, you must book the Pooja accordingly. Otherwise, additional family members should take Darshan from the Gabhara Darshan queue - East gate or Mukhdarshan line.
Other Important Information -
If the devotee is unable to attend the puja in person, the prasad will be sent by regular post to the address provided after the puja rituals are completed in their name.
Live telecast of Abhishek Pooja rituals is not permitted.
Heavy material is not allowed inside the temple. Purses, wallets, mobiles, and items for offering to Devi are allowed at your own responsibility.
Slippers and boots must be removed outside the gate.
Photography and shooting are prohibited inside the temple premises.
