This is a ballot to elect Kristy Dufree of Sundance Wyoming to represent Crook County as the low-income representative on the WYO HELP Board.
Goshen HELP is a 501(c)3 Wyoming Non-Profit DBA WYO HELP contracted by the State of Wyoming Health, Public Health Division to administer the Community Services Block Grant (a federal grant) for Weston, Carbon, Crook, Goshen, Niorbrara, and Washakie Counties. The mission of WYO HELP is to improve the quality of life for people in need by empowering them to become more self-sufficient.
As a Community Services Block Grant entity, WYO HELP is required to operate a Tripartite board. A Tripartite board requires 1/3 members to be elected officials, 1/3 community members, and 1/3 low-income qualified. The low-income representative should either qualify as a client of WYO HELP or have been engaged in providing services to people who would qualify as clients of WYO HELP. The WYO HELP board has determined thatKristy's work with families has qualified her for this position.
