Volunteer Code of Conduct
This Volunteer Code of Conduct aims to clearly communicate the required standards of behavior while volunteering with the Sanitation Foundation. We expect our volunteers to act respectfully, honestly, and ethically while fulfilling their responsibilities and in their interactions with our staff, fellow volunteers, and community members.
Introduction
Our mission is to support the work of DSNY to help clean up the city and reduce waste sent to landfills. We engage individuals, communities, schools, elected officials, and corporate partners to participate in this work.
We accomplish this by fostering innovative public/private partnerships between DSNY, businesses, and community organizations. Our cleaning initiatives, youth education, and public engagement programs help achieve our shared vision. We celebrate the hard work of DSNY and the essential workforce.
