    Penalties for selling vaping products to under-18s will increase significantly, with fines as high as $100,000 for businesses.

    Vaping products will not be displayed in areas accessible to minors (such as dairies, supermarkets, and petrol stations). 
  • Proximity Restrictions for Vape Stores

    New vape shops will not be allowed to open within 100 meters of early childhood centers (ECEs) and must already be 300 meters from schools and marae. 
  • Continued Access for Adults

    The government intends to keep vaping available as a tool for adult smokers to quit traditional cigarettes.
