About Blushel Ocbina

LI Board Vice Chair; Organizational Change Management Leader

Ms. Ocbina has been involved with Leadership Initiatives since 2005 when she established and managed LI's programs in the Philippines. Following the conclusion of her contract in 2007, Ms. Ocbina became an active volunteer and supporter of the organization, eventually joining the advisory board in 2009 and serving as its chair in 2012.

Ms. Ocbina joined the LI Board in 2013 and has been serving as its vice-chair since. Ms. Ocbina brings to Leadership Initiatives her passion for community service and development.

Ms. Ocbina is an alumna of the University of Southern California. Since 2004, she has been serving the needs of public, private, and civic organizations in the areas of strategic communications, change management, marketing, branding, portfolio management, program management, project management, stakeholder management, proposal management, and business analysis/business process improvement. Ms. Ocbina is currently a Senior Director of Strategic Consulting - Change Management at Epsilon.
Purpose:
Ms. Ocbina created this scholarship to develop future leaders in artificial intelligence and technological innovation through educational opportunities and mentorship. It fosters collaboration between students and industry professionals, equipping recipients with the skills and insights to drive meaningful change in their communities. By bridging academic learning with real-world experience, this scholarship empowers students to become effective innovators and changemakers in the field of artificial intelligence.

Eligibility:
The Ocbina Pioneers in AI Scholarship is open to top students who are interested in pursuing a career in technology or artificial intelligence. One annual scholarship recipient will be chosen based on academic and personal merit.

Deadline:
The Ocbina Pioneers in AI Scholarship applications must be received no later than January 25th, 2025.

Scholarship Award:
Ocbina Pioneers in AI Scholarship

will award one student full tuition to attend the AI & Emerging Technology Internship at Georgetown University from July 27th - August 2nd, 2025.

The Ocbina Scholarship Fund will also award ten partial scholarships.
