Each Community Tennis Association of USTA Georgia has a volunteer structure in place. If you have not volunteered for the CTA in the area you reside in, that does not preclude you from applying for a USTA Georgia committeee. However, preference in the appointment criteria is given to members who have volunteer experience in their CTA. If you are interested in learning more about your CTA's structure and opportunities to serve, please visit the listing of Georgia CTA's by District here: Find Your CTA
The incoming USTA Georgia President appoints all committee chairs and members. She/he is the ultimate authority on what committees will form and therefore the present committee structure is subject to change.
USTA Georgia's committee structure is broken down into different "divisions". These divisions are Administration, Competitive Tennis, Community Tennis & Leagues. Each committee consists of a Chair (certain committees have Vice Chairs as well), committee members, Staff & Board Liaisons.
The 2023-24 committees and their member listings can be accessed here:
Administrative Division committees are: Audit, Budget & Finance, Constitution & Bylaws, Human Resources, Investment & Nominating. The Nominating Committee is part of the slate and therefore is not eligible for open application.
Competitive Tennis committees are: Adult Competition, Grievance, Junior Competition, Officials & Sanction/Schedule.
Community Tennis Division committees are: Awards, DEI and Tennis Professionals.
Leagues Division committees are: Adult League** and Junior Team Tennis.
Each committee's work timeline and meeting schedule is determined by the chair. **Please note that the Adult League committee has 1 mandatory in-person meeting each year (normally scheduled in late June). If your schedule does not permit you to attend, please do not apply.
Applicants can apply for up to three committee positions. Each committee is listed in alphabetical order. Please indicate your interest:
