The Conservation Seed Program is under scrutiny by the Department of Agriculture. For this reason, MDHA must ensure compliance with our policies so as to not jeopardize the program. ALL chapters that participate in the program must read, understand and abide by all rules of the program outlined below.

RULES:
• Seed cannot be sold for a profit or used as a fundraiser. You can ONLY recover their costs, shipping, handling and fees directly related to the seed program (storage facility or equipment rental). However, rounding up to the nearest dollar is acceptable.
• Seed must be planted for wildlife and cannot be planted for harvest.
• This seed is treated and cannot be fed to livestock. It must be left standing for wildlife.
• Each person receiving seed must sign this Participant Agreement Form, indicating they are aware of the stipulations of the program.
• Conservation seed will be limited. Chapters may choose to implement limitations based on the level of membership.

Failure to comply with all of the above rules will result in your chapter’s privilege to participate in the program
being revoked. Also, violators jeopardize the entire program for all chapters involved.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• This seed has been discounted and or donated by seed companies that can no longer sell it for retail. Its sole purpose is to be planted for wildlife habitat.
• MDHA is not responsible for seed that does not germinate.
• MDHA is not responsible for seed that is NOT Glyphosate-resistant. This is a surplus seed and we strongly encourage you to test it for resistance.
• MDHA has no control over when the seed is available.

DISCLAIMER:
Conservation seed is dependent on availability and determined by surplus seed declared by the seed companies. MDHA has no control over when the seed is released by the companies and orders placed with this program are not guaranteed. Chapters are encouraged to promote this program as a member benefit and member recruitment tool; we cannot guarantee the delivery of seed.
