Section 1: About you

Criteria: applications are open to UCL members of staff at postdoctoral level or equivalent and above. PhD students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must have an open-ended UCL contract or a fixed-term contract which lasts until the end of September following the academic year for which they are applying (so until 30 September 2025).

Applicants are not required to have a doctorate to apply, but do need to hold a role at one of these levels:

Professor or equivalent

Reader/Assistant Professor or equivalent

Senior Lecturer/Principal Researcher/Principal Research Associate or equivalent

Lecturer/Senior Research Associate or equivalent

Post Doc/Researcher/Research Associate or equivalent.

To help with planning, it is really important that you describe your ideal timing for the three-month fellowship, including when you would like to complete up to six weeks (in up to two parts) in Rome. Please remember this Visiting Fellowship does not fund teaching buy-out or other commitments, so the Visiting Fellow will be expected to fulfil all their obligations (e.g. marking, personal tutoring) as appropriate.0/500

A) In around September following the Visiting Fellowship, you will be contacted by a member of the Global Engagement team to provide brief information about the outcome of activities, including links to any outputs; and the future development of the work.*
