What will you do as the SAFEchild Advocacy Center Program Manager?
The SAFEchild Advocacy Center Program Manager is responsible for the coordination of referrals, appointments, and multidisciplinary team meetings for SAFEchild Advocacy Center.
This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities that serve to coordinate a staff of ten child maltreatment professionals, a high volume of patients, and multiple community partners, all coming together as a team to ensure the children and families of Wake County receive the highest quality of care while beginning their healing journey.
The Program Manager serves as a key point of contact with multiple investigative agencies, community partners, and families while also working internally to ensure the advocacy center runs smoothly and meets all national and state standards of accreditation. The Program Manager reports to the SAFEchild Advocacy Center Director and SAFEchild Executive Director.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or related field is required.
- A master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of child abuse, family violence, and substance abuse.
- Understanding of the criminal justice (including court processes) and the child welfare system.
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain community partner relationships on behalf of the agency.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with little administrative support.
- Demonstration of professionalism in all aspects of work; ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent computer skills and work experience with Microsoft Office 365 software.
Work Experience
- Experience managing a multifaceted program with a large team of internal and external professionals.
- A minimum of five years of professional experience working with children and families where abuse and violence are identified issues.
- Previous professional experience working with the criminal justice or child welfare system and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team is preferred.
Salary & Benefits At A Glance
- Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
