Blessed Sacrament Parish for the 2025-2026 School Year
The Parish: Pope Francis states the parish is the "Church living in the midst of the homes of her sons and daughters." As the Church among us and through the 4 Pillars of Stewardship - Hospitality, Prayer, Formation, Service - our parish offers to all its members:
- The benefits of Mass and the Sacraments.
- Opportunities for continued Faith formation.
- Opportunities to engage in parish life and activities.
- Opportunities to place one's gifts at the service of the parish through its ministries.
- The benefit of living in community with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Parishioners: Discipleship calls us to more than membership; it calls us to an encounter with Christ through active stewardship. Active Stewardship is realized when a parishioner makes a generous and sacrificial gift of their time, talent, and treasure to God and neighbor. Active Stewardship for all parishioners is defined as:
- Attend Mass faithfully on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.
- Participate in parish life and contribute one's gifts of time and talent to serve the parish through its ministries, activites, and events.
- Support the Catholic Church with a sacrificial gift of treasure. Make an annual pledge of tithe and be consistent and faithful in fulfilling the pledge of tithe. A tithe is 10 percent of one's income: 8 percent to one's parish and 2 percent to the other charities at your discretion. A tithe is not the estimated cost to sponsor and educate a student at our Catholic school.
- Support and cooperate with the religious education programs of the parish: Adult Faith formation, Catholic schools, PSR, sacramental preparation, RCIA, etc.
- Return the completed stewardship forms to the parish office annually.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT EFFORT OF ACTIVE STEWARDSHIP: Attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation at Blessed Sacrament as a member of our parish family, unless impeded for a serious reason, e.g. illness, work, out of town, etc.
Parents: I reaffirm my committment to be an active steward. I ask the support of my parish in nurturing my faith as I strive to form my children as disciples through the Catholic school.
- I will attend Mass on all Sundays and Holy Days at Blessed Sacrament unless impeded for a serious reason, e.g. illness, work, out of town, etc..
- I will participate as a steward in parish ministries, activities, and events.
- I will attend a parishioner information event twice a year.
- I will supervise my child/ren's commitment to their faith and to their academic responsibilities.
- I understand that my child/ren's enrollment in Catholic school is contingent upon the way I practice my faith.
- I understand that if at any point I fail to meet the expectations defined herein, Blessed Sacrament may revoke its sponsorship of my child/ren's enrollment at the enrolled school(s).

- In conjunction with your commitment to live a stewardship way of life, the parish will sponsor your child/ren in Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and / or Kapaun Mount Carmel Catholic High School and / or Bishop Carroll Catholic High School for the 2023-2024 school year.
- The parish office will review your family's commitmment to living the stewardship way of life monthly. This review will determine if the parish will sponsor the child/ren for the following academic semster.
