  • About #FearlessFrankie & CHoR Neuromuscular Clinic

Before continuing with your financial contribution, we wanted to help you learn more about the cause you are supporting with your generous donation.
  • Frankie, age 11, was diagnosed in July 2020 with FSHD Muscular Dystrophy. This type of MD affects the face, shoulders and arms and most importantly, does not have a cure - YET.

Frankie and his family (Mom - Colleen, Dad - Paul, Brothers - Brennen and Thompson) are determined to help the ongoing research and trials happening now for FSHD at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, and we are asking for your help!

Frankie wants to thank everyone for all their help and support in his fight.

  • Your Impact

Your gift to the #fearlessfrankie fundraising campaign will help advance care for children with facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. CHoR is dedicated to improving the ability to treat children with various types of muscular dystrophy, including FSHD which causes weakness of facial muscles, arms and legs and can cause significant pain. Our program’s research is focused on answering fundamental questions about the causes of these conditions and developing new treatments to improve the lives of children.

Check out the video below to learn more about how your donations can make a real difference in the lives of kids like Frankie.
