ONE APPLICATION PER PET

This application is for low income households to request spay and neuter assistance. The Friends of DeKalb Animal Shelter will share the exspenses of the spay/neuter with the pet owner. The pet owner will be responsible for 50% of the spay/neuter procedure up to $70.00 incurred at one of our approved animal clinics. (Any expenses incurred for additional treatments other then the spay/neuter are not covered by our financial assistance)

Applicants must reside in DeKalb County TN. There is a two pet maximum per household per year. Financial assistance is being offered on an honor system. Please allow us to help those who are truly in need. We request that you have an income under $25,000 per single household, and $60,000 for a family to be eligible for assistance. Rescue organizations are not eligible.

Note: Clients may be required to pay for flea treatment for any animal with a flea infestation and for a rabies vaccination if your animal is not yet vaccinated per TN law. Preoperative bloodwork, vaccines, deworming medication, etc. are available at an additional charge to you. You are encouraged to follow the vet's suggested wellness plan in addition to having the spay/neuter procedure done.
