Virginia-bred classes will take place on novice day, November 1, at the Jack O’Lantern Classic. Classes are open to any stockhorse type born in Virginia.
They will be non pro classes, open to amateurs and youth. Eligibility of exhibitors to show in non-pro Virginia-Bred classes will be based on eligibility requirements for AQHA youth and amateur as follows:
"Any horse exhibited in the youth or amateur division must be solely owned by the contestant showing the horse or the contestant’s immediate family.”
The Virginia-Bred classes will be held concurrently with corresponding all-breed classes (amateur halter mares, amateur halter geldings, amateur western pleasure, amateur hunt seat under saddle, amateur ranch rail).
Entry fee is $50 per class with a 10% discount for online entries.
Entries (online or in-person) will be
accepted until 5:00 PM Thursday, October 31.

Sire or dam of entered horses may be nominated.
This is optional. Nominators receive publicity for

statewide media outlets and the VQHA website. This publicity will highlight individual breeders/owners
and help position Virginia as a viable place to shop for horses.
