NOMINATION FORM FOR MBE BOARD OF DIRECTOR

The Dallas Fort Worth Minority Supplier Development Council is committed to an ethnically diverse representation of certified minority-owned businesses as a part of its Board of Directors. Our working Board of Directors commit their time and resources to helping the Council deliver on its mission of facilitating meaningful connections between its Buying Entity Members and Certifed MBEs to create impactful growth. The Board of Directors provides strategic planning, direction, governance and support to the Council.
There are a total of seven elected DFW MSDC MBE Board seats inclusive of at least one representative of each of the four ethnic groups the Council serves (Asian, African-American, Hispanic and Native American), two At-Large representatives (any of the four ethnicities) and the MBEIC Chair who is voted on separately (any of the four ethnicities). Each year 1-3 MBE Board positions are open for election.
OPEN POSITIONS
There are TWO open MBE seats for the 2025-2027 term:
- African American representative
- Hispanic representative
The 2025 term begins January 1, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The Nomination Committee and MBE Input Committee of the DFW MSDC have developed the following criteria for acceptance and placement of a MBE name on the ballot for a Director position.
- The nominee/candidate must be the Owner, CEO and/or President of a certified DFW MSDC minority owned business.
- The candidate's business must be in good financial standing with the Council and with other MBEs within the Council.
- The candidate's business must be certified with the DFW MSDC for minimally two years.
- The nominee must be able to demonstrate participation in at least four of the Council's events over the past 12 months.
